MSI MAG Z690 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4 – GreenTech_Reviews

The price range of boards based on the Z690 is very large, and the memory can be left with DDR4. In this article, we will get acquainted with one of the most inexpensive boards, the cost of which is even lower than for a considerable number of solutions based on the junior chipsets of the 600th series – MSI MAG Z690 Tomahawk Z690 WiFi DDR4. This motherboard supports DDR4 memory (as the name implies), but there is a modification that supports DDR5 memory.

ASUS TUF GAMING H670-PRO WIFI D4 – GreenTech_Reviews

TUF motherboard designs vary from model to model. In our case, this is a black and gray color scheme with rare yellow accents. It is based on a 6-layer black printed circuit board. Unlike the previous model (TUF Gaming H570-Pro), many changes are immediately visible regarding the number of expansion slots, the power subsystem and its cooling system, and, of course, the processor socket itself. The slots for RAM modules remain the same, since the board is only compatible with DDR4 modules.

MSI MPG Z690 CARBON EK X – Overclocking

This Z690 Carbon EK X model is part of the “MPG” series for “MSI Performance Gaming ”. It is located between the “MEG” series, which represents the most upscale cards and the “MAG” series which puts forward a more attractive price. This is, as the name suggests, a series that should be perfect for gamers . We can therefore place this model in the mid-range of MSI. Now the partnership with EK on this model offers it undeniable added value.

ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-F GAMING WIFI – Overclockers Ukraine

Like many other products of the ROG series, the appearance of the board is good, however, a little later it turns out that a lot of plastic was used in the design. Of the curiosities, the button to open the latch of the PCI-E x16 slot, as well as the Velcro clamp in the chipset area, which is designed to help in cable management, will definitely make you pay attention. The textolite is partially hidden behind the M.2 cooling radiators.

ASUS PRIME Z690-P – Overclockers Russia

I have already reviewed one inexpensive model from ASUS, namely the Prime Z690-A, but not everyone appreciated that this is a budget device. Only when affordable boards based on the Intel H610 chipset and models like the Maximus Z690 Extreme Glacial began to appear in retail did many come to their senses and realize that prices had risen and the Ryzen 5 3600 was no longer on the shelves for 10,000 rubles.

MSI MPG Z690 EDGE WIFI DDR4 – Overclockers

The DDR4 version of the MPG Z690 EDGE supports the twelfth generation Intel processors using the LGA 1700 socket. The board boasts an 18-phase (16+1+1) VRMS to handle the power requirements of the flagship 24-thread Intel Core i9-12900K. To cool the VRM, MSI uses two large milled aluminum heat sinks connected with a heat pipe. We have 7 W/mK thermal pads on the MOSFETs and the chokes to ensure good contact and heat dissipation. Also helping with heat dissipation is a 6-layer PCB made from IT-170 server-grade PCB material and 2 oz thickened copper.

ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-E GAMING WIFI – Tom’s Hardware

Asus’ ROG Strix Z690-E Gaming WIFI hails from the upper mid-range segment of Z690 motherboards. And yes, what constitutes mid-range these days is quite a bit higher than it used to be. Priced at $469.99, the Z690-E Gaming WIFI isn’t cheap, but it’s one of the least expensive Z690 boards with an integrated PCIe 5.0 M.2 socket. But the Z690-E Gaming is more than just the M.2 socket. It has capable power delivery, a whopping 12 rear USB ports, the latest Realtek audio codec, and an appearance fit for any build theme.
