MSI MPG Z690 CARBON WIFI – Hardwareluxx

With a price of at least 431 euros, the MSI MPG Z690 CARBON WIFI is not one of the cheap LGA1700 mainboards. On the plus side, however, there is a thoroughly lucrative equipment. And that doesn’t just mean the CPU socket and the four DDR5 UDIMM memory banks, but also two mechanical PCIe 5.0 x16 slots and one PCIe 3.0 x16 (electrical with max. PCIe 3.0 x4). And of course there is also plenty of space for some storage with five M.2 slots and six SATA 6GBit / s. There are also numerous USB interfaces, a LAN connection and a WLAN module.

MSI MEG Z690 UNIFY – Overclockers Ukraine

The first impression is a strict board with a practical layout. The design is made in dark colors (gray-black), there is a carbon-like texture on the casing, as well as a pattern on the interface panel radiator. Yes, this is a radiator, not a piece of plastic, which is good news. Among the shortcomings of the topology of mounting elements, I would like to note the position of the CR2032 battery, it is hidden under the casing, and to access it you need to remove the M.2 heatsink.

MSI MPG Z690 CARBON WIFI – Overclockers Russia

Before us is an ATX motherboard. Its dimensions do not differ from the classic ones and are 305 x 244 mm. The external design is also recognizable and resembles other devices from this series. This is noticeable by the characteristic carbon film coating on the shroud on the left and on the lower radiator on the right. The board looks strict and calm, and the main play of colors is assigned to the RGB backlighting.

MSI MEG Z690 UNIFY – Overclockers Russia

In front of us is an ATX motherboard. Its dimensions do not differ from the classic and are 305 x 244 mm. Externally, the device looks unusual and looks like a warrior in blued armor. Aluminum alloy is used, but with a coating. The appearance is simple, but at the same time unusual and interesting. Also, oddly enough, there is no RGB backlight at all.

EK LAUNCHES A STAND-ALONE MOMENTUM MONOBLOCK FOR THE MPG Z590 GAMING CARBON MOTHERBOARD

EK®, the premium liquid cooling gear manufacturer, releases a stand-alone Momentum Monoblock for the MSI® MPG Z590 Gaming Carbon – a motherboard based on the Intel® Z590 chipset. The EK-Quantum Momentum MPG Z590 Gaming Carbon monoblock is made available in transparent Plexi version and features addressable D-RGB LEDs compatible with MSI Mystic Light software enabling full lighting customization for every single diode, at any given time.

EK-Quantum Momentum MPG Z590 Gaming Carbon – EK X Edition

This is a complete all-in-one (CPU and motherboard) liquid cooling solution for Intel Socket 1200 Series Processors. The monoblock covers the entire VRM section of the MSI MPG Z590 Gaming Carbon motherboard. It also has an integrated flow indicator that provides an instant overview of loop operation and coolant flow.

This monoblock boasts the latest generation Velocity cooling engine, used in the EK Quantum Lineup to ensure the best possible CPU and MOSFET cooling without reducing flow to other components.  Liquid flows directly over all critical areas providing enthusiasts with an excellent solution for high and stable overclocks. Like every EK monoblock, this one also features a high flow design easily used in systems with weaker water pumps or lower pump speed settings. TIt comes with sophisticated addressable D-RGB lightning, which connects to a standard 3-pin 5V D-RGB addressable header on the MSI MPG Z590 Gaming Carbon motherboard.

The monoblock is made is sporting a nickel-plated electrolytic copper base, while the top is CNC-machined out of high-quality cast acrylic. The nickel-plated brass screw-in standoffs are all pre-installed and allow for easy and fast installation of the monoblock.

A Digital (addressable) 3-pin 5V D-RGB LED strip is installed in the monoblock. It connects to the motherboard’s D-RGB header, or it can be connected to any other supported 5V 3-pin LED controller. This product is compatible with MSI Mystic Light software. The arrow marking on the 3-pin D-RGB connector is to be aligned with the +5V marking on the D-RGB header. EK makes sure that there are no LED hotspots by employing an acetal cover for the LEDs as proper LED implementation is one of the key principles in EK design.
