High-end audio comes courtesy of the ALC1220 chipset, there’s super fast WiFi, high-end power delivery hardware and RGB lighting. The list goes on, but spec for spec, it would be easy to think this was a full-size ATX motherboard.

The biggest losses created by the Mini-ITX form factor appear to be the compact 4+2 phase voltage regulator and rear-placed M.2. Although the latter is merely a loss of convenience, the former could potentially hamper its ability to overclock our mighty Core i7-8700K CPU.

There are several additional features that warrant the price hike but also mean that a successor to the awesome Gaming 5 is perhaps a little unlikely too. Thankfully, those features mean that while in name we’re looking at a successor to the Z270N-WiFi, the Z370N-WiFi is much more capable.
