The ASUS ROG Strix Z370-I Gaming is one of the major Mini-ITX options for Intel’s latest Coffee Lake processors. ASUS has a good history of building substantial Mini-ITX offerings, particularly with the ROG Impact line, however it is the Z-series mainstream Mini-ITX models that are the more cost effective option.

In fact, the two boards look nearly identical, with large heatsinks covering a very similar-looking array of CPU power circuitry as well as a large heatsink covering the PCH and M.2 port.

Despite the diminutive form factor ASUS Have managed to squeeze and awful lot on the Strix ITX PCB. From the features we’ve come to expect such as the SupremeFX audio, AC WiFi and GameFirst LAN, there are a few that we’re pleased to see have made the journey from their ATX motherboards, including dual M.2 ports, dedicated water pump headers and even a USB 3.1 front panel connector.
