MSI Z370 TOMAHAWK

MSI’s Tomahawk comes with limited RGB, which makes sense, since many buyers have never really wanted to pay for that feature, anyway. Those few who swoon over RGB, however, likely won’t be disappointed by its minimization at this price level, while others who passionately hate it can simply turn it off. But that’s not the only feature that MSI scaled back on this relative “budget” Z370 board.

MSI X299 GAMING M7 ACK

You get an ACK – specifically, the MSI X299 Gaming M7 ACK. This motherboard includes 3-way SLI and Crossfire support, dual M.2 slots with a unique heatsink design attached to the chipset, both front and rear USB 3.1 (10 Gbps) ports, dual Realtek audio chips, Killer based networking, and plenty of RGB LEDs to light up the case.

EVGA X299 FTW K

The best word to describe EVGA’s foray into motherboard territory is sporadic. Never the first to debut on a chipset from Intel, the firm takes time to produce distinctive-looking boards. A case in point is the new range comprising Intel’s latest Z370 and X299 chipsets. Both platforms have three boards each.

MSI B360M MORTAR TITANIUM

In our next review we have the MSI B360M Mortar Titanium in the spotlight. This motherboard dips into two of MSI’s renowned series – Mortar (Micro-ATX) and Titanium (Grey, contrast design). ASUS PRIME X299-DELUXE

EVGA Z370 Micro

EVGA came back on the motherboard scene by releasing a total six boards evenly split between the high-end desktop X299 and more mainstream Z370 series. The latter is home to Intel’s 8th Gen Core chips alone, and it represents a clean break from any other chipset/chip from the past.

MSI Z370 GAMING PRO CARBON AC

But compared to boards supporting AMD’s massive Ryzen Threadripper CPUs, they are a bargain. MSI’s X399 Gaming Pro Carbon AC, for example, sells for more than $380. The MSI Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon AC we’re checking out today can readily be found for $10 or $20 below what seems to be a $209.99 list price.

ASRock X299 Taichi XE

Recently we had tested on OCinside.de the X299 Taichi High-End motherboard from ASRock and today we want to see the latest ASRock X299 Taichi XE in comparison. Because in the meantime ASRock has added a new XE version for different ASRock motherboards. We will see if ASRock again has improved their powerful Intel LGA 2066 motherboard.
