The ASUS ROG Z690 Strix-A D4 isn’t a motherboard that you’ll get the best from if you plan to just build your rig and leave it alone. It won’t disappoint by any measure, but you owe it to yourself to delve into the easy-to-use UEFI and manually fettle it. You could use the AI Overclocking but right now we dont really see the benefits of using this.. For gamers though the Strix-A is a magnificent option and wins our OC3D Gamers Choice Award.

ASUS ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming Wi-Fi D4 is the only ROG Strix board with DDR4 memory slots. Moreover, this is the most expensive and sophisticated model for DDR4 among all motherboards on the Z690 chipset, and, in my opinion, one of the most interesting. Just because now the newfangled DDR5 kit costs about the same as a top-end video card, MSI and the 12chip company supplying various microcircuits give disappointing forecasts regarding DDR5 prices for the next year, well, there is little sense from DDR5 in addition.

Motherboard ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-A Gaming WiFi D4 is the minimum acceptable option for those users who want to join the owners of ROG STRIX products, and also please themselves not only with the nominal operating mode of the system, but also with a very tangible overclocking of memory modules. Processor overclocking strongly depends on the cooling system, but even if the standard power consumption limits are removed, there will be no problems with overheating of the power subsystem, even in a completely passive mode of its operation.
