he Pro Carbon moves away from MSI’s typical black and red colour scheme, focusing on a monochrome design with Carbon Fibre accents. There’s a small spattering of RGB LEDs around the motherboard, one section under the DIMM slots and the others peeking out from under the southbridge heatsink.

First impressions are that it’s an absolute beast in build; it makes an Asus X399 ROG Zenith Extreme feel lightweight. Part of the reason for the heft is a full-size base plate on the back. Is it strictly necessary? Nope, though chucking on everything is what this board is all about. That and Aorus claiming it can lower backside temperature by up to 10°C.

In keeping with its name, the XPower Gaming Titanium is titanium-colored. The cooler and the PCB are designed in this color. Together with the black components such as the processor base and the memory slots, the result is a very harmonious color concept. Today we take a look at GIGABYTE’s Z370 Aorus Ultra Gaming WIFI-OP, a more affordable, a basic refresh motherboard that comes packaged with Optane storage. Intel has been trying hard to get people to utilize Optane as a large cache for a slower drive when it comes to bridging the gap between modern NVMe drives and traditional hard drives.

Supermicro is known and respected for its Server and Workstation hardware whereas its SuperO brand for gaming products are more obscure. The SuperO C7Z370-CG-IW is Supermicro’s first Gaming Mini-ITX board and it has that extra frisson of interest as very few people will know the name.
