Today’s review is the Gigabyte AB350N Gaming. An ITX motherboard based around the AM4 socket that has all the modern trimmings one would hope to find, and indeed need, just in a small form factor. The box for the AB350N Gaming Wifi is of course much smaller than the full ATX boards but it did does stick with the normal Gigabyte Gaming look. It has a black background and red trim and lettering with Gigabyte Gaming across the front in RGB. There are a few badges that show the boards features and the Ryzen logo as well.

But both the X370 and B350 chipsets support overclocking, which is good news for gamers who want to squeeze every last drop of performance from their gear. And, significantly, the B350 can support 2-way AMD CrossFire configurations, if you want to keep your config all-AMD.

MSI B350M MORTAR

One of the major selling points for the MORTAR would be its mATX size, which would appeal to many that either prefer a smaller system, or its use for HTPC duties. Many motherboards we have looked at have had a tendency to overlook the video output options, with many simply including a single HDMI port, if any.

MSI B350 TOMAHAWK

This is noticeably cheaper than the Asus ROG Strix B350-F Gaming and Gigabyte AB350-Gaming 3, but both of those boards had no issues with memory compatibility whatsoever, so it’s clear that with a need for a slight bump in memory voltage, the B350 Tomahawk is still maybe not quite as optimised.
