XFX Radeon HD 4850 1GB

XFX Radeon HD 4850 1GB @ Legit Reviews

“In our performance testing the XFX Radeon HD 4850 1GB was up against some stiff competition, namely it’s faster and more expensive 4000 series brothers. To say that the 4850 1GB is a bad card would be incorrect. At just $124.99 it is an extremely capable gaming card and the best bang for the buck in our testing today.”

HIS Radeon HD 4890 iCooler x4 1GB

HIS Radeon HD 4890 iCooler x4 1GB @ TweakTown

“Today we’ll be looking at a HD 4890 from HIS which comes under the iCooler x4 name. Since this is a series we haven’t looked at before, we’re pretty sure that it carries with it a new cooler. HIS tends to offer a pretty good cooler when they move outside the box, so hopefully this time is no different. Let’s have a look at the package before we have a closer look at the card itself and its spec before checking out the performance.”

Seagate Barracuda XT 6Gbps SATA-III Preview

Seagate Barracuda XT 6Gbps SATA-III Preview @ Benchmark Reviews

“On 21 September 2009 Seagate Technology will be the first and only manufacturer to offer a SATA-III 6Gbps hard drive product with the large 64MB cache buffer as the 2TB Barracuda XT ST32000641AS is unveiled. Both combined improvements to burst rate and sustained bandwidth will mark a substantial improvement to the design of Hard Disk Drive (HDD) storage products, and the new technology is expected to give Solid State Drive (SSD) components some serious competition.”

Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P

Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P @ OC3D

“Gigabyte obviously does not need much of an introduction as it is a very well established brand and has had it’s fair share of popular motherboard releases. The manufacturer currently has a very wide variety of AMD Socket AM3 motherboards and this particular model sits somewhere in the middle from the low end Micro ATX AMD 740G boards and the fully fledged CrossfireX compliant AMD 790FX boards.”

Biostar TPower I55

Biostar TPower I55 @ EliteBastards

“Certainly, in terms of features there’s a lot to like about the TPower I55 – All of your multi-GPU bases are covered with a couple of other PCI Express expansion slots to spare, two eSATA ports are definitely a useful addition and so on. The only real criticism we could make here is the relative lack of fan headers on this motherboard – Three isn’t a lot for a high-end board which is likely to be housed in an equally high-end chassis, particularly when one fan header is blocked off by the graphics board.”

Gigabyte P55-UD6 / P55-UD3, MSI P55-GD80

Gigabyte P55-UD6 / P55-UD3, MSI P55-GD80 @ MadShrimps.be

“Almost two weeks after the official release of the Core i5 platform, we review three LGA1156 motherboards. We put the Gigabyte P55-UD3 and UD6 through the same batch of tests as the MSI P55-GD80 and check who comes out on top. Next to that we have some surprising results for those who want to use Turbo mode and also have a look at the extreme overclocking capabilities of both high-end motherboards. Last but not least we publish our findings on the maximum voltages for the Core i5 platform.”

MSI P55-GD65 Xtreme Speed

MSI P55-GD65 Xtreme Speed @ FutureLooks

“As you know, the Lynnfield LGA 1156 processor is supported by the P55 Chipset which may be second fiddle to the X58, but has clearly shown in our testing that it is no slacker. It’s also substantially cheaper than its older brother which means that you’ll have more cash to spend on a processors as well as something like the MSI P55-GD65 Motherboard on the test bench today. Does the dark and mysterious MSI work for this platform? Let’s find out!”

Gigabyte GA-P55-UD6

Gigabyte GA-P55-UD6 @ Bjorn3D

“We’ve run the Intel Core i7 870 ‘top dog’ CPU on the Gigabyte and we’d have to say this is one of the best boards we’ve seen to date. Not just one of the best P55 boards, we mean of all the motherboards we’ve seen entirely. This one fits into the ‘Get away from my motherboard’ category. With 24 Phase power, Trusted Platform Module chip, Bluetooth security, 2 oz copper PCB, Dynamic Energy Saver 2, and the Smart 6 suite of features, your going to be hard pressed to find a more feature rich motherboard.”
