ASRock X470 Taichi

Today we take a look at ASRock’s X470 Taichi motherboard, one of the brands better known and widely enjoyed SKUs. In fact, we reviewed the Taichi Ultimate version with more high-end features, and today we are looking at a motherboard that costs roughly $60 less with a similar feature set. Both of the Taichi models offer up RGB, but their heat sink and cover colors are opposite of each other.

BIOSTAR Racing X470GTN

While we have looked at a few X470 ATX motherboards, we haven’t taken a look at any smaller motherboards for the X470 platform. Today we will take a close look at the X470GTN, a mini-ITX motherboard designed for the high-end X470 platform. ASUS ROG ZENITH EXTREME

ASUS designed the X399 ROG Zenith Extreme to be the pinnacle in terms of features and capabilities for the AMD Ryzen Threadripper processor. The list of features is so long that ASUS’s engineers had to use an Extended ATX (E-ATX) PCB to fit everything and, still, that was not enough, forcing them to use additional vertical daughterboards.

MSI Z370 PC PRO

As a general rule the Intel B360 and H370 chipsets offer a more affordable route into Intel’s 8th Generation “Coffee Lake” CPUs, than the Z370 chipset. However, there are a number of Z370 motherboard options that are as affordable, if not cheaper, than many B360 or H370 models. MSI manufactures a number of those low-cost Z370 options including the Z370 PC Pro.

BIOSTAR Racing B360GT3S

The B360 chipset differs from H370 in a few different ways, first you only have support for a single x16 PCI-E slot, only 12 PCI-E lanes (compared to 24), fewer USB ports, and there is no CPU or memory overclocking.  Today we will be checking out a B360 board from Biostar.  This is actually our first look at a B360 board, but also our first look at a board from Biostar.

ASRock Fatal1ty Z370 Gaming-ITX/ac

This gaming-centric board offers users a number of features which make it highly competitive in the small-form-factor overclocking space at $180.
