ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XII HERO (WI-FI)

In this review we will be looking at the ASUS Maximus XII Hero motherboard.  This motherboard is build on the new Intel Z490 chipset and is designed for the Intel 10th generation LGA 1200 Processors.  If you have been paying attention to the numbering you’ll realize this is a new socket type however, uses the same heatsink mounting as the previous LGA 115x.

ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI)

It’s not exactly spartan though, offering up a 12+2 DrMOS Power Stage, Digi+ VRM, and a 6-layer PCB. It’s should be more than enough to get great performance from the latest Intel CPUs. There’s also a good set of their VRM heatsinks, plenty of connectivity with USB C and Thunderbolt 3, M.2, and even Realtek S1200A audio. So while it’s not a flagship motherboard, it’s still ticking a lot of premium boxes.

It’s the flagship board from the ASUS range, offering up stunning aesthetics, dazzling RGB, and all the features you’ll need to either break some world records or create one of the best performing gaming rigs around.

ASUS ProArt Z490-CREATOR 10G

The ASUS ProArt Z490 Creator 10G is ASUS’ first ProArt DIY-market product obviously aimed at consumers that want something more specialized. Of course, as a motherboard, there’s really not a lot it can be specific about in terms of what it does but i does include the connectivity option that was previously only via daughter cards or onboard on more expensive HEDT options.

ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-E GAMING

ASUS has kept the feature set focused on what your typical gamer would need. There’s both Intel LAN and WiFi 6, which are more than fast enough, but no 2.5G or 5G option here like on the more expensive boards. There’s great overclocking support, fast memory support, and rather fantastic audio hardware ready right out of the box though.
