NVIDIA RTX A6000 Announced @ GTC

NVIDIA introduced a flagship GPU for creators — the NVIDIA RTX A6000, announced the Omniverse 3D simulation and collaboration platform open beta, and released new NVIDIA Broadcast Engine software development kits for developers of streaming applications.

The RTX A6000 GPU, built on the new NVIDIA Ampere architecture, allows creators to complete complex creative tasks, such as video editing in 8K HDR in real-time and animating extra-large 3D models. With 48GB, it offers the largest memory available in a single GPU and is expandable to 96GB using NVLink to connect two GPUs.

RTX 3080 and 3090 Shortages – Until 2021

Another day, another NVIDIA shortage…

“I believe that demand will outstrip all of our supply through the year,” Huang said, “Remember, we’re also going into the double-whammy. The double-whammy is the holiday season. Even before the holiday season, we were doing incredibly well, and then you add on top of it the ‘Ampere factor,’ and then you add on top of that the ‘Ampere holiday factor,’ and we’re going to have a really really big Q4 season.”

One of the things that I didn’t really expect when testing both the Celsius+ Prisma S24 and S28 models by Fractal Design was the significantly lesser noise levels compared to the S36 (roughly 8.5dBA less for the S24 and 7.5dBA less for the S28) which are also what makes them far more ideal for people who do care about this. Cooling efficiency on the other hand was much closer than expected with the S28 probably delivering the best price/performance ratio of the three (of course the lack of protective plates for the fins still has me puzzled).

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 – Launch Day Reviews

Last week NVIDIA officially launched their RTX 30 series starting with the GeForce RTX 3080. It provided great performance at a great price and really made gaming at 4K enjoyable. Now a week later we have the GeForce RTX 3090. The naming of the card might make you think it sits higher in the product stack (and it does), but it really sits in a category all its own.

ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3080 Trinity

It won’t beat the Founders Edition out of the box, and with its very, very small overclock you will get pretty close to the RTX 3080 FE performance. But, the ZOTAC custom GeForce RTX 3080 Trinity runs 8C cooler at stock settings (72C versus 79C) and has a triple-fan setup that won’t blow hot air up into your CPU (like the RTX 3080 FE does, if you didn’t want that).

Gigabyte Leaks NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, RTX 3080 20GB, And RTX 3070 16GB Ampere Cards

We see not only GeForce RTX 3080 products that Gigabyte has already announced, but also unannounced models, including boards with 20GB of GDDR6X (confirming our supposition above). But that’s not all, there are also references to other unannounced products including the GeForce RTX 3060, which we’ve previously talked about.
