ASUS Crosshair V Formula
"So far, ASUS has released two motherboards based on the new AMD 990FX chipset, the Crosshair V Formula and the Sabertooth 990FX. Both have similar specifications and feature four PCI Express x16 slots, but the Crosshair V Formula comes with a better audio codec, two additional USB 3.0 ports, better networking chip, and more overclocking options. Let's check out the top-of-the-line socket AM3+ motherboard from ASUS."
"The long-awaited 990FX Chipset is finally here. The manufacturing partners have put together their offerings, each putting their personal touches to the design. Benchmark reviews is here with a look at the ASUS Crosshair V Formula 990FX motherboard and the all new 990FX Chipset. It's been a long time coming, and a full six months after the Intel P67-Express chipset means that AMD is behind the curve."
"Alongside the launch of the new AMD 990FX chipset, I think most people would like to be seeing the next generation of AMD CPUs come with it. As AMD don't hop around changing the socket every 5 minutes like Intel, though, the interesting thing is, that while we've got a delay in the Bulldozer line of CPUs the 990FX based motherboards can still be released."
"Once again we pop in a Phenom II processor and have a look at it's performance, which will be the same as it has been for a year now. Yep, AMD completely released the 990FX chipset in the wrong time, it should have been released alongside the Bulldozer FX series processors. But ah well, what can you do... have a peek at that lovely looking Crosshair V Formula and then let's head onwards into the review."
"The Crosshair V Formula is the cream-of-the-crop AM3/AM3+ motherboard with so many features, most users will probably not even use half of them. AMD recently broke world records using this very motherboard thanks to some seriously heavy duty cooling. We don't got liquid helium, but we still got to put this bad boy to the test."
"The Crosshair V is without question the most impressive AM3+ board I have worked with to date. Installation was flawless, BIOS support was mature and quick, and the overwhelming amount of features integrated into this board is staggering."
"The ASUS Crosshair V Formula uses the AMD 990FX/SB950 chipsets and is the first ROG motherboard with AM3+ CPU support. It is also the first AMD motherboard to support both 3-Way NVIDIA SLI and AMD CrossFireX as well as offering an advanced UEFI BIOS and DIGI+ VRM design."
