In this review, we look at the MSI Z490 UNIFY. The new series targeted in a high-end solution. Interesting to see that this is an RGB-less all-black design. Priced at 299 USD, it comes with AX WIFI and has that a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet jack and a 16-phase power design.

ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XII APEX

The Maximus XII Apex ships in the usual ROG red-black themed box and if we take a closer look at the design, you’ll notice that it actually comes in a similar fashion as the previous Maximus XI Apex. It doesn’t come with the fancy RGB theme that you’ll find on the ROG Strix lineup that is targeted for the gamers, but it does have ASUS AURA support for those who really want RGB for their system.

MSI MEG Z490 UNIFY

Enter the MSI MEG Z490 Unify. A motherboard which sticks to the all black parts and PCB that are the basis for all modern motherboards, but entirely dispenses with the RGB onboard, limiting itself to just a couple of LED strip headers and these are in black, keeping that Spinal Tap aesthetic.

MSI MPG Z490 GAMING CARBON WIFI

The ATX-sized Gaming Carbon WiFi has always been a good seller through generations as it employs a number of manufacturer-specific features without breaking the bank. It sits below the Z490 Godlike, Ace, Unify models but above the Gaming Edge, Tomahawk, Gaming Plus, and plain old Pro in the pecking order.

In this review we look at the Gigabyte Z490 VISION G. The new series is aimed to become the more affordable solution at 199 USD, it might not have AX WIFI, but still has that Intel 2.5 Gbps ethernet jack. That and some pretty fancy design choices from an aesthetic point of view.
