MSI MEG Z490I UNIFY

The MEG UNIFY is relatively new to the MSI motherboard lineup and was first introduced when MSI first released the X570 UNIFY. Motherboard BIOS Updates for Ryzen 5000 Drop

Now that AMD has announced the Zen 3 5000 Series, it’s time to get your motherboard ready, assuming you’ll be upgrading. The first series of BIOS updates to AGESA v2 v1.1.0.x have started to roll out, though some are still offering v1.0.8.1 at this time. MSI MEG Z490 ACE

The VRM for the ACE is the same as the Godlike with sixteen 90A power stages doubled from the same Intersil controller. The only difference is that the ACE does not have any VCCGT phases, which means your iGPU will not be powered, which can be a detriment if you need the iGPU for things such as quick sync.

MSI Releases Combo PI V2 v1.1.0.0 BIOS for 500-Series Motherboards

After the previous updating, MSI keeps making a great effort to offer optimized BIOS updates for AMD 500-series motherboards. With high expectations, the latest AMD Combo PI V2 version 1.1.0.0 BIOS for X570 and B550 motherboards will be ready for users to download and update constantly from the end of September. As for A520 motherboards, Combo PI V2 version 1.1.0.0 BIOS will be released by the end of October. In addition to AMD 500-series motherboards, the updated version is also expected to support AMD future processors. Budget Micro ATX B550 Mobo Roundup

Specifically, we’ll be looking at the ASRock B550M-HDV ($80.99), Gigabyte’s B550M DS3H ($94.99), the MSI B550M Pro-VDH Wi-Fi ($109.99), and our costliest contender, the Asus Prime B550M K ($120.99). Compared to what we’ve looked at in the past on B550, these boards skip many of the accouterments we’re used to seeing, like RGB lighting, shrouds and heatsinks on some items, and premium power delivery.
