Continuing along, the Rocket Q4 chewed through AS SSD like it was no big deal, and when unleashed on ATTO, the Rocket Q4 served up truly elite performances. The MSI Creator X299 will certainly speak up directly when it comes to “full hut”. The HEDT mainboards are generally not badly equipped, but the Creator actually goes one better and makes use of the innovations that the new CPUs have brought with them. This means USB 3.2 Gen2x2, WiFi 6, 10G LAN and Thunderbolt 3.

The HP V8 kit I have for testing today is one of their mid-spec kits: 8 GB (1x 8 GB) 3600 MHz at 18-20-20-40 timings and 1.35 V. 3600 MHz has become the new gold standard for Ryzen builds, driving new focus into memory kits targeting a previously obscure specification. This board is very similar to the ASUS TUF Gaming B550M-Plus (Wi-Fi) we recently reviewed . The key differences are in the form factors of these models, as well as in the absence of a Wi-Fi module in ASUS TUF Gaming B550-Plus. This does not make it less interesting, but first things first.
