Intel Core i5-661 Clarksdale Processor

Intel Core i5-661 Clarksdale Processor @ Benchmark Reviews

“Intel continues filling out its processor lineup with the introduction of the 2010 Intel Core Processor Family, comprising new versions of Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 processors. The new Core i3 and Core i5 processors use Intel’s new “Westmere” architecture, which brings facets of Intel’s “Nehalem” design to the lower-end desktop CPUs (code-named “Clarkdale”) and mobile CPUs (code-named “Arrandale”).”

Micron RealSSD C300 SATA III SSD

Micron RealSSD C300 SATA III SSD @ Hot Hardware

“Initially, only a couple of companies laid the foundation for storage processors when solid state drives first arrived, now we have a broad range of options to choose from. Intel, Samsung, JMicron, Indilinx, and Sandforce, all make SSD controllers, just to name a few. Today we’re going to show you yet another new SSD based on a new controller from a long-time player in PC storage, Marvell.”

Kingston SSDNow V Series

Kingston SSDNow V Series @ PC Perspective

“After a few iterations and revisions to their SSDNow V Series brand, Kingston have finally settled on a product that is true to the (V)alue portion of that name.  Combining JMicron’s new JMF618 controller tech with Toshiba’s  fabrication and flash memory has rapidly brought prices of solid state storage down to less than $2/GB.”

OCZ Vertex 2 Pro 100GB SF-1500

OCZ Vertex 2 Pro 100GB SF-1500 @ Legit Reviews

“The OCZ Vertex Series of Solid-State Drives (SSDs) has been without a doubt one of the most successful SSDs released by any manufacturer. When we reviewed the original Vertex 120GB drive in April 2009 we found it to be an amazing SSD that was one of the first on the market that had the ability to do garbage collection and TRIM. It was truly a drive that was better than much of the competition and even today it is a solid performing drive thanks to the Indilinx Barefoot controller.”

ECS H55H-CM

ECS H55H-CM @ HardwareZone

“The green PCB on the ECS H55H-CM brings back some memories; most motherboard vendors now have such a choice of colors that they rarely pick green, not that there’s anything wrong with this color. The board itself is square, due to its mATX dimensions and the features onboard appear to follow the chipset standard.”

EVGA P55 FTW

EVGA P55 FTW @ PC Perspective

“As for aesthetics, this board is absolutely sexy and something I would definitely sport at my next LAN party. The entire color  scheme could work in any user’s system and add a bit of flare that not many boards have. The P55 FTW also isn’t very “future proof” because it doesn’t include USB3 or SATA 6GB/s, but those items can easily be added with additional PCI cards. Overall, the board seemed more geared toward overclocking and daily-use operations and less about gaming.”

MSI H55M-ED55

MSI H55M-ED55 @ TweakTown

“But MSI let us know that they were not just going to push out top end (and expensive) products; one of their goals was to bring enthusiast class features to their entire product range. These are things like OC Genie, HDD backup and XHD (Auto build RAID 0). We have had their H55 Express based motherboard, the H55M-ED55, in the lab and can tell you just how well these features work on this entry level board.”

Pegatron IPX7A-ION/330

Pegatron IPX7A-ION/330 @ iXBT Labs

“After ASUS AT3N7A-I and Zotac ION ITX series, we got another mini-ITX motherboard based on the NVIDIA ION chipset and the Intel Atom 330 CPU — Pegatron IPX7A-ION/330. Its key difference is a PCIe x16 slot that also supports PCIe x4 and x1 expansion cards. Pegatron couldn’t improve NVIDIA’s already successful solution, but the motherboard has no significant drawbacks as well.”
