The new motherboard looks to offer support for Intel’s latest processors and also offers up all native platform features but cuts out some extras to keep prices in the affordable range. GIGABYTE Z370 AORUS GAMING K3

The K3 version of the motherboard has not yet hit the US market, but it could down the line as a much more affordable Z370 motherboard. The market for affordable Z370 motherboards is huge since the B and H series motherboards are not currently available, so if you guys a non-K 8th CPU you still need a Z370 motherboard to run it.

GIGABYTE Z370N WIFI

It’s certainly well equipped for a mini-ITX motherboard, offering M.2 and Optane support for blazing fast storage devices. High-end audio comes courtesy of the ALC1220 chipset, there’s super fast WiFi, high-end power delivery hardware and RGB lighting. The list goes on, but spec for spec, it would be easy to think this was a full-size ATX motherboard.

GIGABYTE X299 AORUS GAMING 7 PRO

The X299 Aorus Gaming 7 Pro has all the features and benefits of the X299 Aorus Gaming 7, along with a higher-capacity voltage regulator and a couple extra M.2 covers. Potential buyers who were considering the former should further consider the additional amperage offered in this version, to support their extreme overclocking ambitions.

GIGABYTE GA-AB350N-GAMING WIFI

The AM4 socket necessitates some interesting design choices. The heatsink-clad PCH is moved up to the top-left, as we look at it, but there’s still room for another heatsink on top of the 4+2-phase power supply. The auxillary 8-pin EPS connector, which is good to see on a tiny board and useful for overclocking the CPU, is usually on the edge, enabling easy cabling…

GIGABYTE GA-AB350N-GAMING WIFI

For the purpose of this review, I’ll be testing the motherboard and CPU in the standard fashion. This means our 1080 Ti will be in place, thus showing how everything performs in relation to how every other motherboard was tested by us. GIGABYTE Z370 AORUS GAMING 7

Although the Z370 represents a modest update to Intel’s desktop chipsets, we doubt that will deter the passionate DIY builders from springing for an Intel 8th Gen processor and a new board. We recently looked at both the Intel Core i7-8700K and the inexpensive-but-spicy Core i5-8400 and found both to be solid chips for gamers.

The Gaming 7 Pro fits in at towards the top of the GIGABYTE X299 product stack, slotted just below the Gaming 9 and flagship Designare EX. The G7P offers users 3-Way SLI and Crossfire capabilities, three M.2 slots each with their own heatsink, a robust dual heatsinked power delivery with an additional fan, several USB 3.1 ports, and enough RGB LEDs to light up a room.
