ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XI CODE

Hard as it is to believe, the ROG Maximus XI Code isn’t the most expensive Z390 board in the Maximus line. The Maximus XI Formula (with its advanced cooling features and extra lighting) goes for more than $400, for example, and the Extended-ATX Maximus XI Extreme clocks (and for the money, overclocks) in at about $600, more than the most expensive CPU it can accept.

ASUS TUF Z390-PLUS GAMING (WI-FI)

MSI managed a fairly balanced approach with the MAG Z390 Tomahawk, downgrading the audio codec and dropping Wi-Fi in favour of a fancy integrated I/O shield, USB 3.1 Type-C ports, plus the full complement of audio outputs. Today we’re looking at Asus’ similarly-priced TUF Z390-Plus Gaming (Wi-Fi), which takes another very different approach.

ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-I GAMING vs. ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ac

Both the ASUS ROG Strix Z390-I Gaming and the ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ac are around the $200 mark, which is a very popular enthusiast price point for small form factor high powered motherboards. Both motherboards also share similar features, including dual M.2 slots for storage and 802.11ac Wave 2 Wi-Fi modules. Nonetheless, there are differences between the two worth examining.

Of course with a new processor and unique features comes a new chipset and a plethora of motherboards to choose from as the consumer. You can go all out and spend $500 on a board or spend significantly less and still get a motherboard that performs well and delivers all the things you expect from it. That being said, the motherboard I am looking at today is from ASUS ROG lineup, the ROG Strix Z390-E Gaming.
