ASUS P7P55D EVO

ASUS P7P55D EVO @ OC3D

“Here we see the Intel PCH P55 chipset itself. This little sliver of silicon controls the USB, Ethernet, BIOS support, Audio and SATA along with e-SATA and PCI Express x1 ports. This is of course interlinked to the new CPU architecture which has control over PCIe 2.0, and the memory functions of the motherboard. The Chipset heatsink was very small but as this is a pre-release sample I would expect this sink to be enlarged upon final retail release.”

MSI P55-GD80

MSI P55-GD80 @ HardOCP

“The MSI P55-GD80 motherboard supports the LGA1156 line of Intel processors via the integrated Intel P55 chipset. The chipset itself has in-built support for the following technologies: Intel LGA 1156 Core i7 and Core i5 processors, DDR3 memory operating in Dual Channel mode up to 1333MHz officially, and either NVIDIA SLI and ATI CrossFireX graphics mode using matched video cards.”

Foxconn A7DA 3.0

Foxconn A7DA 3.0 @ X-Bit Labs

“Today we are going to talk about Foxconn A7DA 3.0. It is another solution based on AMD 790GX chipset. The name of this mainboard model may give you an impression that it is the third revision of A7DA solution, however, it is not the case. There is no and has never been a Foxconn A7DA 2.0, but Foxconn A7DA does in fact exist.”

ASUS MAXIMUS III Formula

ASUS MAXIMUS III Formula @ Motherboards.org

“The Maximus III Formula is a solid Editors Choice as the performance is there as well as great features. Also with so many new boards on the market, I am sure we will see even better boards by ASUS and the other manufactures as time rolls by.”

ECS P55H-A Black Series

ECS P55H-A Black Series @ PureOC

“With the launch of Intel’s Lynnfield LGA1156 socket processors upon us, motherboard manufacturers have been gearing up for the big Core i5 and Core i7 into the mainstream market, busy readying boards for release. One of the new motherboards is the P55H-A Black Series from ECS, as they look to continue their push further into the market with what are essentially affordable enthusiast products in their Black Series lineup.”

MSI P55-CD53

MSI P55-CD53 @ Motherboards.org

“Turbo Mode does not seem to overclock the CPU as much as on the Intel Extreme board, but the combination of the OC Genie and gradual overclocking using the + button on the board I was able to hit over 3.4GHz with the Intel Core i5 750, a nearly 800MHz Overclock. Overall this motherboard is great for those wanting to get onto the new i5 bandwagon, but don’t want to pay the high price for a new setup.”

Gigabyte GA-P55-UD6 & GA-P55M-UD4

Gigabyte GA-P55-UD6 & GA-P55M-UD4 @ Motherboards.org

“The Intel P55 Express chipset and the LGA-1156 CPUs are Intel’s new mainstream solution replacing the Core 2 Quad and Duo solutions earlier. As such the MSI P55-CD53 motherboard is a value board with costs of around $109 online at launch. The board does the job with performance that matches the Intel reference board.”

Welcome to the New MBReview.com!

Well, I’ve decided to join the modern era of web design here at MBR as we have upgraded to a new CMS. This should allow for implementation of far more useful features, better integration of forums, and more. I’ll be working over the next few days to get the site fully up and running. I’ll be porting over the more recent boards from the old database into this new system as soon as possible. If you explore, you’ll see that I already have posted several X58 and AMD Chispet based boards in the new Review Database. Enjoy!

Updated #1 – The new MBR Forums are up and running. Make an account and start a discussion.

Update #2 – All legacy motherboard, CPU, and some misc. reviews and articles have been posted in the In-House Reviews section.

Update #3 – English not your primary language? Try using the new “Translations” toolbar on the right side of the page. Click a flag, or select the language from the drop-down menu.
