1 Hardware Secrets
ASRock right now has eight different socket 1156 motherboards based on the Intel P55 chipset. Let's take a look at their latest release, the P55 Extreme4, a mainstream model with four USB 3.0 and four SATA-600 ports.
2 TweakTown
The pairing of two and two (SATA 3.0 and USB 3.0) is what you normally get with Intel and their products; at least that is until ASRock dropped the P55 Extreme4 on the market. This board boasts four SATA 3.0 ports and four USB 3.0 ports (two on the back and two on the front). This is in addition to a few other nice features that we are sure will come in handy; items like THX audio, eSATA 3.0, OC DNA and mounting holes to fit both 1156 and 775 coolers.
3 Think Computers
When opening the box you will first see some SATA cables and the Manuals and Driver DVDS. After unpacking all the contents of the box, we have 4 SATA cables, 1 IDE Cable, USB 3 Front bay device, 2 Molex to SATA power connectors and of course the ASRock P55 Exetreme4 and the user manuals.
4 FutureLooks
"Built around the Intel P55 chipset, the ASRock P55 Extreme4 supports ATI CrossfireX and NVidia SLI. Quad configurations are capable as long as dual GPU PCIe graphics cards are used. However, at 8x by 8x PCIe bandwidth, this platform would favor two very capable single GPU cards as apposed to a quad configuration. That should be enough for hardcore graphics fiends."
