News: ASUS Maximus II Gene Posted on Monday, June 29 @ 20:55:23 EDT
|
ASUS Maximus II Gene @ Bjorn3D
"With all of this in mind, it is good to see manufacturers like ASUS still working hard on improving the Intel socket 775 CPU's. Like its bigger brother the ASUS Rampage II GENE motherboard, the Asus Maximus II GENE motherboard is a micro ATX form factor, but with a couple of difference's, the Maximus II GENE motherboard supports the Intel socket 775 CPU's, dual channel DDR2 memory, and it uses the P45 Eaglelake chipset, paired up with a ICH10R south bridge, with a few extra's added we seen with the Rampage II GENE motherboard."

News: MSI X58M Posted on Monday, June 29 @ 20:54:50 EDT
|
MSI X58M @ ITReviewed
"MSI should be applauded for bringing Intel’s X58 chipset to the masses at a sub-£150 price point. Sure there are full-size motherboards that offer better performance and overclocking features, but for mainstream users building a MicroATX-based machine the X58M is fantastic value. The motherboard offers an almost perfect balance of features and performance, and would make a great choice for a high performance small form factor multimedia (HTPC) or gaming system."

News: Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P Posted on Monday, June 29 @ 20:54:05 EDT
|
Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P @ X-Bit Labs
"It becomes quite real to put together an inexpensive system on AMD Phenom II or Athlon II processors equipped with DDR3 SDRAM. This type of memory has already become affordable enough, and Gigabyte managed to come up with a Socket AM3 mainboard for DDR3 at a very modest price point. Read more in our review!"

News: ASUS M4N82 Deluxe Posted on Monday, June 29 @ 20:53:32 EDT
|
ASUS M4N82 Deluxe @ Neoseeker
"I am highly pleased with that ASUS motherboard sporting the disguised 780a chipset, despite a few downsides. I think it is stupid to use SATA ports which allow only the supplied cables to be used. Also, it is a bit deceiving that the small fan bundled with the motherboard won't fit along a large processor heatsink."

|
ASUS P6T7 WS @ Motherboards.org
"The P6T7 is designed for the workstation crowd and stability, manageability, support for SAS drives are as important as performance. The board was completely stable throughout testing and the ability to run four dual-GPU cards together will bring the ultimate in performance in games anyway. ASUS has an Editor's Choice product here for sure; especially in light of all of the extra features this board offers for the workstation crowd, great stability and great performance making this board a great choice for your new computer. Rock On ASUS!"

News: ECS X58B-A Posted on Monday, June 29 @ 20:52:29 EDT
|
ECS X58B-A @ OC Club
"The ECS X58B-A delivers a little of the good, the bad and not so much on the ugly. The board is a full featured board that at stock speeds delivers performance on par with some hardware that costs as much as $180 more than the X58B-A. The onboard debug LED is useful for diagnosing no boot conditions and just in case you go too far the CMOS reset button is within easy reach on the I/O panel."

News: ZOTAC IONITX-A-U Posted on Monday, June 29 @ 20:52:00 EDT
|
ZOTAC IONITX-A-U @ Benchmark Reviews
"We all want more for less. That's why enthusiasts overclock, and that's why we build HTPCs. The PlayStation 3 game console has sold millions of units because of its ability to delivery realistic video game performance, but Sony has sold more units because of the PS3's Blu-ray Disc player capability than any other factor. Bringing personal computer technology into the home theater environment has just come one step closer, thanks to the NVIDIA ION platform."

"Gigabyte G31M-ES2C is a value motherboard for Intel socket 775 processors based on Intel G31 chipset, which is today the simplest chipset from Intel, supporting 45 nm CPUs, 1,333 MHz front side bus and 800 MHz memory modules in dual channel configuration. This motherboard, however, supports front side bus up to 1,600 MHz thru overclocking."

News: MSI Eclipse Plus Posted on Wednesday, June 24 @ 22:58:10 EDT
|
MSI Eclipse Plus @ X-Bit Labs
"The reason why we remembered about all these circumstances today is because we got our hands onto a new MSI Eclipse Plus mainboard, which we are happy to discuss in our new review. It differs from the predecessor not only by the “Plus” in its model name: it looks different, boasts a number of additional features and most importantly works way better. We would like to start, as usual, with the closer look at the board and accessories."

News: MSI Eclipse Plus Posted on Wednesday, June 24 @ 22:57:29 EDT
|
MSI Eclipse Plus @ OC Club
"MSI has certainly delivered a great board with the Eclipse Plus, overclocking my i7 to 4GHz was fairly easy although with base clock frequencies past 200 some moderate tweaking had to be done, I even managed to get a CPU-Z at 4.5GHz. If an overclock fails, the motherboard must restart three times to clear - an annoyance but with the clear CMOS button near the PS/2 ports users can easily reset the BIOS and continue overclocking."

It is packed with features such as CrossFire and SLI support, can accept up to 24Gbytes of DDR3 memory and also features superb overclocking options. In fact, its overclocking options are almost identical to those offered by its bigger brother, the Rampage II Extreme."

News: Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT UD5P Posted on Wednesday, June 24 @ 22:55:52 EDT
|
Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT UD5P @ Motherboards.org
"From a platform point of view the Gigabyte MA790FXT-UD5P motherboard fits the bill as a motherboard that supports AMD's latest CPUs on the AM3 platform including the 810 we used for this review. Features-wise this board has all of the features that an enthusiast will want from a new AM3 motherboard except for one. For those expecting to run three or four ATI cards in CrossfireX mode will be disappointed as this board only has two PCI Express x16 slots but that is not the target audience of this board."

News: ASUS M4A79 Deluxe Posted on Wednesday, June 24 @ 22:54:59 EDT
|
ASUS M4A79 Deluxe @ Motherboards.org
"ASUS has done their usual solid job with a new motherboard release. As the chipsets used on this motherboard are not new, the performance across different boards using these two chipsets should be pretty close and they are. A lot of AM2+ motherboards support the AM3 CPUs with a BIOS Flash allowing for easy upgrade options for older motherboard chipsets."
