Abit Computer Corp. is well known throughout the industry for bringing incredible performance and overclocking options to their line of motherboards. Their famed SoftMenu Technology could easily be the one major item that Abit is most widely known for. Abit is always at the forefront of the latest and greatest technology, although they have only recently begun to offer any of the truly feature packed motherboards we have come across from the likes of Gigabyte or VPSD. Not too long ago, Abit once again stepped to the forefront of the motherboard world by offering up legacy-free motherboards, the AT7 MAX and IT7 MAX. These boards were, and still are, viewed as “revolutionary” for the motherboard business. Today, we’ll be taking a look at Abit’s latest i845PE motherboard, the BE7-RAID. This board doesn’t pack the same amount of features aboard as does the i845E-based IT7 MAX2, but it can still pack a punch. Let’s start off by first taking a good look at the official specifications for the BE7 / BE7-RAID.
