..:: Introduction ::..
It has been quite a long period of time since we were last graced by the presence of one of Samsung’s Digital LCD monitors. In previous experience with older models supplied by Samsung, we have found some superior image quality, color quality and better than average gaming performance as far as ghosting issues are concerned. We have noted several time in the past that the color quality offered by Samsung’s Digital LCD monitors has been superb, and today we’re hoping to see this trend continue as Samsung’s line of 17” models has had some time to mature further than what we dealt with in the past. The previous models we had the pleasure of dealing with also featured rather elegant designs and color schemes, along with excellent layouts for controls, and relative light weight. The only problem with the weight issue is that all of the previous models utilized power bricks instead of built-in power supplies. Today, we’ll be giving the Samsung 173P a good once over to see if the monitor still accels and suffers in the same areas. First off, let’s take a look at the official specifications of the Samsung 173P Digital LCD monitor.
